There was slight respite from the blistering heat as the day temperatures fell by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in parts of Rajasthan which experienced light rainfall.
According to MeT department, Kota was the hottest place today with a maximum temperature of 40.2 degree Celsius followed by Jaipur where the day temperature was 38.5 degrees Celsius.
Udaipur, Sriganganagar, Barmer and Jodhpur recorded maximum temperatures of of 37.9, 37.5, 37.6 and 36.1 degrees Celsius respectively, the weatherman said.
Meanwhile, isolated places recorded light rainfall with duststorms. Sikar district recorded 2 mm rainfall whereas Pilani, Jaipur also received rains since yesterday.
The weather conditions are likely to remain the same during the next 24 hours, the department said.
